With the Holiday Season in full swing, Minnie Rose has giving on the brain. We love the idea of paying it forward, so we made sure to collaborate with some of our favorite causes in the effort to make the world a better place. It is totally empowering to be able to do whatever we can to make a difference, and it’s always a plus that giving never goes out of style. Keep reading to hear more about our most recent initiatives!
Operation Enduring Warrior (OEW) is a veteran-founded non‐profit 501(c)(3) whose mission is to honor, empower, and motivate our nation’s wounded veterans through a physical, mental and emotional rehabilitation. This year, the Fashion Digital Conference in New York was held on Veteran’s Day and included a silent auction in which all proceeds went directly to OEW. Minnie Rose donated one of our most coveted items, our Cashmere Blankie Wrap. We were so happy to be able to attend Fashion Digital, and watch our Blankie Wrap shine in the silent auction for such an incredible cause. http://enduringwarrior.org/
Another one of our favorites is the Samuel Waxman Cancer Research Foundation. Cancer is a disease that does not discriminate. Here at Minnie Rose, research to find a cure is a cause that is near and dear to our hearts, so we were honored to be able to participate in the 19th Annual Collaborating For A Cure Gala. Done through Charitybuzz, Minnie Rose is proud to announce that we have donated a $1,000 gift certificate for an online shopping spree on www.MinnieRose.com to the online auction. http://www.waxmancancer.org/
The Hearts of Gold Foundation works with women and children in New York City shelters to help transition them into permanent homes. By offering programs and certain initiatives, Hearts of Gold’s goal is to help these women become more confident and self-sufficient. Hearts of Gold owns a retail establishment, The Thrifty HoG, where sales of gently used clothing and accessories benefit the mothers and children they work with, and provide job-training for these struggling women. Minnie Rose donated a box of sweaters to be sold at The Thrifty HoG. The Thrifty HoG is located at 11 W 25th St, New York, NY 10010. http://www.heartsofgold.org/shop
Last but certainly not least, we were absolutely thrilled to be able to team up again with an inspiring woman and brand ambassador, Mary Alice Stephenson, founder of GLAM4GOOD. GLAM4GOOD is an organization that encourages social change and individual empowerment through style. On Saturday, November 19th, Mary Alice Stephenson and GLAM4GOOD hosted the #BKLYNBUNDLEUP- a pop-up shop filled with winter coats and warm weather accessories for deserving women, girls and kids from the Brooklyn and New York City communities. Minnie Rose donated a large box of our warmest, coziest knit pieces for attendees to enjoy. https://glam4good.com/
